In the new, temporary exhibition See you later, Texel in 2075 you can make your own choices for the future of Texel. What will the island look like 50 years from now if it’s up to you? One thing’s for sure: lots of things are going to change. Partly due to climate change, and partly due to how we shape the landscape. And thus which choices we make for that. We’re curious to see what you’ll end up with!

Changes
The future still contains many uncertainties. A lot depends on global CO2 emissions. On the fact wall you can see scientists’ predictions, with a wide margin. That the earth is warming and sea levels are rising, is a given. But to what extend? That’s still in our hands. Even so, we dare to make some predictions about Texel’s future wildlife. Some species will disappear, others will find a perfect new habitat on the island.
